I was trying to remember something the other day…
Not anything important. Just a random memory from school.
And somehow I ended up thinking about those class photos we used to take. You know, the ones where everyone stands in lines and the photographer keeps saying “don’t move”.
Kind of funny now that I think about it.
Anyway, I tried to picture ours in my head… and I couldn’t.
Like, I remember the moment. But not the actual photo.
So then I thought — okay, where is it now?
No idea.
Maybe it’s in some old cupboard at home. Or maybe it got thrown out during cleaning. Honestly, it could be anywhere… or nowhere.
Later that day I just randomly searched online. Didn’t even think much about it. Just typed something like “old school photos” and started clicking.
That’s how I found World School Photographs.
At first I didn’t really get into it. Opened it, looked around, almost closed it. But then I went back again.
Not sure why.
I started checking different schools. Different years. Just scrolling mostly.
Didn’t find my photo.
But some of the pictures looked so similar to how ours used to be. Same kind of setup. Same expressions. Some people smiling too much, some looking completely serious.
It felt oddly familiar.
I think I spent more time there than I expected. Not doing anything important. Just… looking.
It’s actually very simple to use. No complicated stuff. You just search and see what shows up.
And maybe that’s why I didn’t leave quickly.
It didn’t feel like a “website experience” or anything like that. More like going through old things you forgot about.
At one point I even thought — imagine finding your actual photo there by accident. That would be crazy.
Didn’t happen for me though.
Still, it kind of made me realize how many small things from school just disappear over time. Not in a sad way… just quietly.
And then once in a while, something reminds you.
Like this did.
If you feel like checking, you can try it yourself.
Just don’t expect too much.
Sometimes you won’t find what you were looking for…
…but you’ll still end up remembering things.
